went to visit my Mom yesterday, moved a bunch of my books to her place from my old mans.... then I ended up reading them (as I always do when I move books)... I could never work in a library, I wouldn't get anything done at all..... Mom came home and we watched The Amazing Adventure (US title, aka The Amazing Quest of Ernest Bliss), it was for lack of a better word, amazing.... C.Grant plays a rich man who lives for a year w/o his money to settle a bet/prescription (you'll understand if you watch it), he starts out w/ 5 pounds and goes from their..... I love the wagers in the 30's, and how time was viewed differently then; spending a year to win a bet was acceptable, now days that would be a ridiculous proposition!!!
