* I'm worried about my son. I had a parent/teacher interview a few days ago and was told that he is so disorganised (and just a bit lazy) that it's beginning to affect his schoolwork. He's either not getting things done, or handing in half done work (because the other half is on a scrap of paper somewhere between the bottom of his bag and underneath his bed). And he's often late for class. He's a smart boy and he loves school, but he's been hopelessly lackadaisical ever since he was little. But I didn't think it was so bad that it would make things difficult for him as he gets older and becomes an adult (yaaay for working long hours and being a parent between the hours of 6-10 each night).
So I took him out to dinner last night (chicken laksa for him and atlantic salmon with zucchini rosti for me ) and we had a big talk about what's happening and what needs to be done. He really wants to get a job and I think that would help enormously, but after making some enquiries, he's still too young by a few months. But this will be worked on nonetheless.
* There were some gorgeous cars on the road today
And I got smooched/smothered in fur by this giant white fluffy dog
