Ha ha ha - slap head!

My old French teacher used to wear socks with his sandels and always smelt of whiskey puke

No it wont. It's free. all you need is a pair of scissors. Fuck hairdressers, man. home haircuts are always the best.

Yeah, what Jojo said is true. I did that a couple of times a couple of years ago.

To do list:

- Walk into town
-> Buy cotton wool pads
-> Make hairdressers appointment
-Walk back home again
-Paint nails
-Some revision might be good

They're simple enough tasks but I just can't be bothered. 40mins into town. 40mins back. And the weather's gone all cold. frown
Haircuts from 19.50. I could go somewhere cheaper but other places aren't as nice. I don't like...

I think a juicer would be useful. I can only find one brand of carrot juice widely available and it costs about 2 a bottle. I have been reading up on carrot juice and it seems you should drink 8oz twice a day. That means I would need nearly 5 bottles a week. 10 a week. At that price, a 20 juicer would pay off...

Mpfh. I know what you mean - when I had my hair dyed (for the Goth party) the packet stated it was 'electric purple' or some such cobblers. It turned out to be almost black and the only time you could see the purple was when it began to streak down my face.

So, are ya gonna get a different nail varnish? Maybe there will be a better selection in the shops in Brighton....
mro:
I guess it would make more financial sense to go to Reading to get it done and the money you save can be put towards your juicer. But then again, a trip to Brighton or London would be more fun, kinda like a mini-holiday.

Mind you, I say that because I don't know where Farnborough is in relation to everywhere else. I only know it is famous for an air show...

It's official. Taking one look at my colour coded examtimetable, it shows that all my exams are in the next 2 weeks. 7 hrs 5 mins worth in the next 7 days and 8 hrs 45 mins in the 7 days after and that doesn't include faffing about waiting for people to arrive, changing over papers etc.
Just eaten my ham and beetroot sandwich. Any...

ugh exams. they've gotta be done, its just all the trouble that goes with them frown I think the UK should follow the example of USA and have termly exams, that way all pressure is taken off these final exams and there's LESS to revise each time biggrin Plus if you do badly in one exam, for whatever reason, you can make it up in the other 2!

I <3 beetroot. I don't like the way it stains everything it touches!!

The whole Vodafone thing's sorted out. All I had to do was go into the shop and ask them to take it off. I'd love to work at the Vodafone shop. I'd be the most qualified shop assistant ever. Whenever I want to go in there, I have to wait an extra half hour cos they never open on time due to "staff training".
Yesterday...

Well precisely. The paramedics would break down the bathroom door to find you unconscious, head in the toilet and little white bum wiggling in the air surreal

Where did you find the mirror, anyway?
mro:
Well that's good - the first step to enjoying life it to be at one with yourself. That's often the most difficult part too; anything else after that is easy peasy.

I thought I was in luck. For once, the internet on my mobile phone is working at a decent speed so I decided to see if I could get SG on it. Vodafone's content control blocked it. To switch content control off, I have to use Visa or Mastercard to pay Vodafone 1 which they give me back plus some in the form of 2.50...

I've been spending most of the last week listening to the Donnas and playing games on MSN. The little revision that I did do did pay off though. Had my first exam today. Don't think I did too well since I missed the last 12 marks as I never have enough time during that paper but the rest of it went ok so hopefully I'll...

Looks painful. Big respect to you from someone who winced when they had their Yellow Fever jab at the hospital blackeyed

How about getting a tattoo while you're at it?
mro:
Indeed - I went on a safari to Kenya a few years ago and they recommend you go to the clinic and be used as a pin cushion - yellow fever, tetanus, typhoid and about 3 others blackeyed

I have a couple of tattoos, one on each arm, but have a desire to get the one on my left arm extended into a sleeve of some sort. There is a pic of it in my Pics folder and I am thinking of having more of a tribal theme down to the wrist. Trouble is, I know it will hurt and I am a bit of a jessie when it comes to pain.

If you do get a tattoo I think you should go with what you feel comfortable with and what is meaningful to you. If someone else has the same or if no one else likes it....well, who cares? You are doing it for you and not them.

There are a few SG girls with the nautical tattoo on the front of each shoulder and I think they look lovely.

What's the difference between lager and beer? I think I'll stick to the alcopops in future. It took me half a pint of lager to discover I didn't like it. It always seemed to be an ideal cold drink for a hot afternoon but how anyone can drink it at any time of day is beyond me. I still have the funny taste at the...

Lager is a lot cheaper than beer and usually some say not of high quality. All I know is that lager is type of beer of German origin. biggrin I'd recommend Fosters (very sweet tasting. not veggie friendly tho), Carling (I find it to be weak) or Calsberg (my fav) as ok lagers. I've not tried enough to say which is the best of the best tho (even tho I'm a bartender). I tend to stick to my fav liquor Souther Comfort. biggrin

Most people take a long time to get used to the taste of a lager. I knew a friend who could only tolerate one sip of Stella (I thinks it's the strongest selling UK lager. not veggie friendly either) until his mates took the piss. After a year of forcing himself to drink it he doesn't drink anything else now!

try all sorts. They've some lovely drink out there. smile

I'm just being nosey now after reading other entries in your journal

I bought this book called 'What the Buddha taught'. Just to make me think a bit more since a lot of what I'm thinking about at the moment is science. I'm not really a religious person so since it's not really a religion as such...
In Buddhism, there are four noble truths (very roughly translated to be):
1) Suffering
2) the arising or origin of...
