Week (Weak) Endings
Tonight, then before.
Hung out with the best friend today. She was unusually open and talkative about emotional issues troubling her, and we had a great breakfast. She's such an awesome person and I love her to bits because of it, I just wish she had better taste in men. Like maybe, don't date assholes. Is that a plea for her to date me? Yes and no... I'll admit I'm more attracted to her now then ever - I'll admit that openly - but I know she's not the one for me. And we really do have the best friendship which I value tremendously.
Then made a quick trip to the mall, bought some books and brain food, then travelled home to help the brother and future sister-in-law to design their wedding invitation which I am quite pleased with, as are they. I almost backed out because I haven't done any design at all in a while and don't really think of myself as a good designer, but this turned out quite nice, and they're really pleased with it. Yay for Lucas!
Haven't heard from Crush # 1 since Tuesday when she indicated she had wed through friday off and that we should hang out. It's got me a little down.
It's so odd how people put up with things like this. Like, shouldn't I be able to reason out that 'Hey, she hasn't called, she obviously doesn't want to spend time with me...,' but instead I make up every possible excuse as to why she couldn't call. HOnestly - it takes 30 seconds to call someone, even to say only "Hey, sorry I'm busy, can't hang out tonight," or "Hey, I kinda want some alone time tonight." These are valid reasons to not hang out, but not calling is just frustrating. I think it's my pet peeve in fact. Let's all make a deal to call if we say we're going to - deal? Good. The world's a better place now.
