Small accomplishments are addicting when you're not bone-tired for once.
School being out leaves me time to actually take the day slowly, and even read at work. I've read more this week than I have in months.
Maybe it's escapism?
But back to the small accomplishments- I fully cleaned my room! May not seem like such a big deal, but I haven't done so in a year (which doesn't make sense, I've only lived here for 10 months). I re-decorated the canopy over the bed, aquired a new duvet ($24.00 at good ol Target), and folded all of Nate's clothes that were heaped willy-nilly on the floor. Then I placed them neatly back on the floor along the wall on his side of the bed (It's called compromise).
Sold what clothes that could be sold to Rag-A-Rama and Red Planet, then started a Chicago/Lollapalooza fund with the booty that resulted.
Oh, and I bought one of those exercise/yoga balls. Those things are fun. Fun I tell ya.
It feels like the weekend. But it's not. But when work starts back up again tonight, only 3 more days til the weekend. I'm excited to drive up north and visit the family, and see Jess for the first time since Easter. Hopefully that won't be too awkward ( I just leaned backwards in my chair reaching for my dictionary to check my spelling and I thought "you're going to fall, ass" And then I did. It was quite inelegant).
Sigh. I just wanna type and type. Sometimes it feels good to know random strangers will read about your life. But I need to shower. And a bike about the town, now that it's stopped storming.
Only 6 hours until work (we'll be dead, unless it rains more. I'll get paid $2.13 an hour to socialize, at least).
Destination for the day- CupOJoe Clintonville. Have not had the caffeine fix yet. Headache may start shortly.
p.s. I found a black shirt that says "CBUS" in hot pink with a little bus between the C and B. Apparently made by a local artist. Yes, I bought it. I may be one of the few people you know that actually loves Columbus and never wants to leave.
