This week has been a mad combination of great and not-so-great news. Ill start with the great: A week from today Starguitar and I are going on a road trip to Toronto! I didnt think I could afford it with all the shit Ive had to pay for recently, but my dad gave us the money to get a rental car! Metric has agreed to let us stay with her and we are also going to visit the lovely Pillango before she moves to France. I hardly ever travel these days, so this is exciting. I wont have another break from school for a long time, so Im taking full advantage of it. I may have already mentioned this, but in September we are going to Montral for Starguitar's uncles wedding. And it seems quite a few people want to hang out so were going to be super busy while were there. I cant wait to go back to Montral. BAGLES, baby. And smoked meat. *drool*
Okay, so the bad news is my computer is still fucked. My heat sink came loose from my motherboard so I have to get that reattached. I found out that my warranty was up (no notification or reminder, of course) so to Dell, I basically dont exist. Yesterday I went to Best Buy and had them remove my hard drive and put it in an external casing, because if I have to send my computer back to Dell, I dont want them fucking with my files. Also, last night we hooked my hard drive up to Starguitar's laptop and removed the viruses, so once I get this heat sink reattached, it should be fine. Im not counting on anything at this point, though.

I have to share this cause it is the coolest thing ever. While looking for crafty and D.I.Y. people online, I came across Etsy.com. Its a website where you can sell your homemade items for next to nothing. They allow you to set up your own store and maintain it yourself. Its like Ebay, but much more personalized. So I set up a shop with my greeting cards. You can check it out here.
Tonight Im going to see an experimental opera that my friend wrote called The Age of Insects. Its free, too - part of a state-funded arts program. Heres the info, if youre looking for something to do:
