Happy 2006!
I hope everyone had a good New Year's Eve. Mine was low-key but that's the way I wanted it. This was a pretty special NYE for me, since it's the second one I'd spent with Starguitar. Last year, he was visiting me and we were in a long-distance relationship, and this year he lives here. This is the begining of his first full year living in Chicago.
We went to the Redhead Piano Bar for the countdown. It's a classy, old-fashioned place, and we like to hang out there and be amoung the youngest people. We shared a really good cigar of which I forget the name. We left soon after the countdown, hung out at home at watched "200 Cigarettes" (my own NYE tradition). Later, our friends Betty and Kirk came over for a bit. I don't know how, but we ended up sleeping until about 4:00 this afternoon! I can't believe how much I've been sleeping lately, but since my work/school schedule starts up tomorrow, I'll have to get back on track. I might try to stay up all night tonight, and by tomorrow night my sleep schedule should be almost normal.
I'm really excited to begin my LAST year at DePaul. I'm going to try not to focus on what I haven't accomplished over this break and just try to do good work and create stuff when I have time. I feel lucky and very happy...I have a feeling this is gonna be a good year.

You guys look adorable together! I especially love the pics of you on the L. Only a fellow Chicagoan would know the pleasures of that method of travel. It's great you are thinking this will be a good year for you, I hope it is for all of us. Happy New Year.
