You know I don't like to talk shit about people. But the whole gig there chaps my ass. First off I've DJ'ed there for over a year now getting paid a flat fee, well the past two or three times doing it I'm hipped to the fact the broad changed the pay to only a % of the sales........well it's Lakewood, enough said. So last time I DJ'ed I had to bust ass since I was having problems with my Valiant and had to get a ride to the gig, to make a whole lot of 25 bucks, yes you heard me right. Well I pass fliers out email folks the whole bit, but most friends either can't stand the joint or live around here and don't want to drive through Lakewood buzzed to get pulled over by the coppers, hell I don't either for that matter. So long story short after much thought, it's not worth it for me, besides the fact like I said before I have two other regular gigs every week I think that's enough.
Eddie Izzard is redeeming himself via VHS bootlegs for me this week. The incredibly dissappointing (and expensive) performance I saw this winter nearly did irreversable damage. I watched Definite Article this weekend and now I'm watching Live at the Ambassadors - good stuff but far more Brittish than Dress to Kill.
