I'm doing my best to do an update in this thing everyday. For no other reason than to help with procrastination in my life. I thought exercising discipline in various ways would help fight it. This is perhaps the smallest example of such an idea, but never the less, it is the basis for my typing in here before I go to sleep each night.
I went out to do some night photography this evening. This is probably the best thing I came up with. Nothing terribly spectacular, but not shit either. If anyone's interested, I'll take $3000 for an 8X10.
I spoke to my father today. I love that man. To say the stupid cliche that he's the best Dad in the world is of course not true. But damnit the man tries. Him and I have such incredible conversation. Today we talked about the movie Hotel Rwanda and the merits or lack there of, of the UN passively or actively keeping the peace with respect to countries having internal problems. Of course you'd say the UN should've gone into Rwanda aggressively and forced a stop to the genocide. I think that thought has such logic. But isn't saying that, sort of support Bush's stated reasons for going into Iraq? I know that's a grey issue, but?
Personally, I'd love to see the UN corruption problems come to a quick end and have them take over the role of world police from the US. To me, it is a lesser of two evils situation though. At least with the UN the security council (which has it's own major issues, don't get me started on that mutha) would 'jointly' make decisions, and not a unilateral entity.
The thing is, it has to be agreed what will be the yard stick which measures success of UN peacekeeping missions. Is it # of lives potentially saved? Because if that is the gauge for success, then this silly blue helmet passive 'peace keeping' is clearly not working.
Jesus, I could go on for days about international affairs.
Perhaps a silly commentary for someone's journal on a titty site.
Little trivia question for those of you reading this.
Does anyone know what the administrative cost percentage is for the major organizations supporting the victims of the tsunami affected countries?
Answer tomorrow.....I'll give you a range plus or minus 2%.

I want to write more, but I'm exhausted, I'm gonna crash here. Long day at the end of the keyboard.
