So you lend somebody something. In this case a friend and a tripod. This was about four years ago. You still have contact with said person, though you wouldn't describe them as a friend anymore since it's been six months since the last conversation.
More details. $300 Manfrotto tripod. One of the best money can buy. Offered to said person as a way of helping him start a career in photography. This arrangement would've certianly softened the financial burden of purchase of thousands in equipement, in one go. At the time I was not using it, so....
On two separate occassions over the last four years I asked for it to be either returned or purchased from me at a 'used' price. No responses in these cases.
Now I'm getting back into taking pictures, I'd like to have a tripod. My tripod.
So since my 'friendship' with him is in question, do I demand it back and risk a confrontation (about what I couldn't imagine) or just let it go. The way I see it, I don't have this person as a friend, so why don't I just come out of it with my tripod instead of with a bill for a new one!!
