HEY SG!!
I'm back to civilization from the great wonders that is Black Rock City.
I first want to thank EVERYONE for all the love and support on my newest set, Stay With Me, shot by @adkc that came out while I was away. It really makes me feel so amazing to know how much support I have in this community. So THANK YOU <3 And to all my new followers, HERRO!! Thank you for joining me on this journey <3
I know it may annoy a few people out there, but I'm going to share some of my experience of Burningman with you all. This year was 10x better than last year. Simple improvements, like staying in a yurt instead of a tent, and the biggest improvement yet was belonging to such an amazing crew, the temple crew. I think I've talked about the importance of the temple once or so, and being involved in it's build made me that much more aware how much this project means to the community. I also was able to bring my good friend @cigno whom made an amazing playa wifey. We arrived late Thursday evening, just before sunset and had to teach ourselves how to build our yurt. I think we learned a lot about self-reliance this year, wouldn't you agree Cigno? HAHA. We worked 16+ hr days starting at 4 am to make coffee for the temple builders and making food to nourish our team. I love how much Cigno just jumped in there, with it being her virgin year, nobody could tell she had never been before. We kind of started to get a break the following Thursday when I got to finish a wedding cake for this years' temple architect, whom got married at the temple. Then is was play time, even though we still found ourselves volunteering in the kitchen because everyone deserves a break lol. Maybe next year I will belong to temple crew but camp independent so I can fully attend burningman lol.
enjoy some playa pics:

temple during build week. nearly finished. i was on the back of a truck coming to serve food. caught a beautiful sun ray hitting the temple just right <3

did i mention how we couldn't stop working, no matter what the conditions were? this is the temple kitchen crew serving lunch i believe during one of the many white out dust storms we had this year.
this needs a little more explanation. lol. so the architect is from france, FRENCH AS FUCK, was a saying we all got use to. Also part of the temple design was inspired by... croissants. once arthur (architect) found out i was a pastry chef, he asked me if i could possibly bring croissants onto playa. I was determined to do so. so weeks prior i started making 300+ butter croissants. I wanted to bake them fresh, i mean nothing beats a fresh croissant in the morning with your coffee. Well... the box of my dough got crushed in transportation. So @cigno and i went to black rock bakery, which was conveniently across the street from us, and we re-rolled all 300 croissants and baked until 1 am... after a full 14 hr day working. so she's really tired here, but was my hero none the less. the crew was absolutely elated the next morning to get freshish miss-shaped croissants.

on our ride back from temple, we stopped for some tea. oh and thank you @erikad for the tajin. it came in handy for my bloody <3
the wedding cake i did. i almost wasn't able to get the flowers in, but i used the whole "well it's for the temple" as an excuse. glad it worked. the edible glitter was a mix called "galaxia" which was the name of the temple this year.
i will end this forever long blog with a few photos of the temple burn.
i want to thank the community for working so tirelessly on such a beautiful gift, an amazing way to support each other in their times of grief and celebration.
i want to thank @cigno like a million times for being such an amazing friend. I'm so glad to have had this journey with you. and with all the struggles we never fought. i am so thankful to suicidegirls for introducing me to such an amazing woman. can't wait to get dusty with you gain. and @asami you're coming with us next year <3
