I don't mean to be absent. Things have been some what of a whirlwind .
My amazing mother came from Utah to help me get some things set up for my son. For the first time in over 3 years, someone cooked me dinner when I got home. Someone else cleaned my house. It was so much help, I'm forever grateful.
My daughter turned 13 this past week. We went to the circus center with a group of her friends and learned how to juggle. Apparently 3 balls are too many for me to handle. 😂 My dad flew out for the weekend to visit/pick up my mom. They drove home yesterday, so my space can become mine again.
I got pieces of my bakers sleeve filled in. I'm a little frustrated with one piece in particular, but will be working that out with the artist.
My department at Google is closing. This is the saddest, most overwhelming thing I'm dealing with at the moment. Without getting into culinary politics, to put it short; the catering department needs a bigger kitchen. There isn't one readily available, but the pastry kitchen... it's always pastry that gets the boot. I got pulled into an office with my Executive chef & the CEO telling me how great of a job I've been doing. That I'm a "vital member" and I have a secured job. What exactly that job will be doing is still being discussed. I won't go too into this. I live to bake, but now this will give me the opportunity to REALLY bake for my edible company only. I'm also preparing to go to burningman, alone. For my first time, officially. Lots of reddit these days 😂 I do have a wishlist if anyone feels inclined to help me or spoil me.
Spending energy on myself. Not worrying about the little things, like shaving. I didn't shave anything, for months. (Maybe I'll blog about my 3 months of getting in touch with the woman inside another time). Not worrying about dating anyone. Feel like I've kinda given up looking. It'll either happen or it won't. I'm ok either way. Unicorn for life 🦄
