I have never been good at being able to learn through hearing, reading, or watching really... it's always been hands on. I struggled throughout school because I could never really test unless it was something I could touch. Oh man if I had to read it and take a test, my recollection abilities were poor as ever! ADD as a kid before I found pot! lol
So as a young adult, most importantly a young mother. I found myself working 2 fulltime dead end jobs waitressing. I hated it, but I needed to make money. After culinary school I still struggled with finding my voice in a kitchen. I just worked where ever they wanted me to. Always being drawn to the bakery, finding a job in the small close minded place of Utah I lived in was impossible. After years of bouncing from kitchen to kitchen I now have a job that I love. Following my passion for my hidden talent, baking!
So I got a tattoo yesterday. Vintage skeleton key set of tablespoons. This is my story of why. It was an odd request at the tattoo shop. Turn keys into spoons?? Yes! Noah over at Oakland Ink did such a good job, and was so patient with me.
Check them out!
