Oh how it has always been a dream of mine to travel... As an adult that is. Sure I moved around a bunch as a kid, but that doesn't count. I dreamt of exploring the states , eating at all the good spots, then some day heading to Italy where I can study under a few chefs/bakers /pastry chefs. I separate those because they're all very different.
The first time I got to fly on a plane, I was 23 and I went to Denver. This year I have been more involved in my daughters condition, hemophilia factor 9 is extremely rare in women (read my other blog, beautiful rarity). I have had the opportunity to participate in a woman's advocate group, it's amazing. I went to Dallas Texas this year.
This is my aunt & uncle. I haven't seen them in 5 years. They live near Dallas. So that was great.
Last weekend I got to experience Miami, FL. What a long flight! I now fully understand why people use those neck donut things, and I'll be getting one. It was beautiful. I got to have Cuban style food, and drinks. Oh yum! But best of all I got to go right down to the ocean. So much warmer than here in San Francisco.
While I was there, I got to meet up with @sunshine. We created some magic! You'll all see that soon.
I totally got to rock the sexy bunny mask and am so excited about happened there. My dear friend, yes I consider her a friend, @sunshine I love how much you've helped me grow.
In 2 weeks, my daughter & I will get the opportunity to go to New York City! We will be attending the National Hemophilia Foundation Coilition. We'll get to meet doctors and other persons affected by the condition, including kids. I'm so excited for so many reasons! What a great opportunity, plus I get real quality time just me and my girl; who turns 12 a few days after we return.
Anybody else want to share a story about their travels that were most memorable ?
