Howdy all, I'm back from almost 3 weeks in the country! Just got back into the city today. Phew!
I was helping out at a kids camp with my sister and brother-in-law and some others for a couple of weeks. I helped cut grass, chainsaw trees that had fallen from the power of various storms, was bitten by one hornet, told ghost stories, helped build various bonfires, helped the kids build little sculptures out of pieces of wood, set up a movie theatre for their movie nights on a big screen, got properly drunk and stoned by a bonfire near the river several times with friends, and had to hold off the somewhat aggressive flirtations of a married woman! (usually, I'm not opposed to that kind of thing, but it was a bit too close within the realms of the circle of family, if you know what I mean). I even had an overnight stay at a music festival near Midland where getting baked and drinking were encouraged, and spent one beautiful day at Wasaga Beach. Not too shabby.
Plus, I celebrated my birthday last week. 42yrs old. Damn. Now I'm just ready for getting back into enjoying the city. What else can I do since I'm here for a bit?
Hope all of you are doing well, and have also been having a great summer! Cheers!
