the case of the telltale cellphone...
i have a little fan running by my head when i sleep. so instead of being awoken by random occurances of door slams, upstairs orgasms, drunken yelling on the street, or screeching tires... they all just blend into the steady hum of the fan.
but the weird thing is... i hear my cellphone in my fan. its like some poltergeist shit. i can vividly hear my specific ring tone. but its some type of auditory illusion.
so i have to sleep with my phone next to me... which i hate. sleepy time is sleepy time. i've even considered changing my ringtone from the pleasant murmer its now on, to some obnoxious musical shit. because if i hear the midi version of "big pimpin" or something... when its not playing... then i know i've got serious mental issues.
i guess i could just turn my phone off when i sleep... there's an idea.

I love being woken up by phone calls while I'm sleeping, it makes me feel important &/or loved. They're not sleeping because they're thinking of me. That's probably not the case, but that's how it makes me feel.
