i just awoke from this dream in which i was reading responses to my journal (this journal, i assume) except it was an actual notebook, and i was reading them on a summer day, in the bedroom i had as a child. i don't think i read what my entry was, but here are the responses i can recall:
"there is a car worth alot of $$$$ in the mcdonald's parking lot"
"you said "the finite is not a finality" that is exactly what jake sr. wrote in his journals"
"tears tear up and tear the telephone out"
gah... from the bed to here i've already forgotten the rest. and the second one is paraphrased.
the other night i had one of those dreams where i was creating all this amazing music, but i woke up sad and frustrated because it was all lost the instant i woke up. i thought i remembered a bassline, but that evaporated a split second later.
when are they gonna invent those damn dream recorders!
later.
update:
i watched "unforgivable blackness: the rise and fall of jack johnson" on dvd last night. its good, rich. oh that wacky ken burns. i can't watch a ken burns doc without wanting to run to the record store and buy a bunch of old ragtime, blues and early jazz.
alas, i don't do that though. maybe i'll download an mp3 or 2 instead.
