So today is my father's birthday!
My father is one of the biggest influences and idols of my life. He raised me to believe in the power of stories, the strength of family, and the importance of honour. As a kid, completely out of the blue he would tell me and my brothers how much he loved us and how handsome we were. As a kid I shrugged such displays of affections as embarrassing and unnecessary but today, I reflect upon them with nothing but joy. He the man who has shaped me into the man I am now. He is the essence of what i means to be a good father, and a strong Italian man. Always drive by passion, the woman of his heart, soul of his identity, and the blood of his family.
