Hello all,
Sorry for not blogging in such a long time, but alas I have been pretty busy. I got off to Chicago, and back already and I had a very good time. Lots to see and do, and the people were very friendly, the food was good and I got drunk three times. Two things struck me as very different than my home town Portland, OR: One, the wait staff, and service industry folk were both friendly and attentive, while the female types were super pretty. Here in P-town, bartenders are both slow and surly. The second thing was that virtually every building was architecturally distinct, and well executed. No ugly buildings in Chi-town. Beyond this, I thought people were nice and if I could afford it, I could actually live there.
Well I have to get off to work...
