OK, it's time for the story of the bahamas and all the crazy shit that went down.
Thursday night was quite fun. The drive was smooth and quick. One of my favorite things is to do 80 or so on cruise control and just crank my music. I met up with Pat, a friend I've known for years apon years, and decided to go to The Hard Rock Casino. I've never had any luck there, but I felt that since it was a Thursday night that it wouldnt be too crowded and maybe my luck would turn around. Well sadly it didnt. I sat at the 1-2 table for over two hours and didnt win one fucking hand. The cold card streak continued for me. But I didnt really let it bother me too much, for a few reasons. I knew that in a few hours I would be boarding a plane for Bimini with some of my close friends, and that everyone, from time to time, catches cold cards. It was just my turn and I know that it cant last forever.
After a few hours of sleep we (me, my brother, and pat) woke up early and met up with everyone at the airport for our 20 minute plane ride to Bimini. The plane ride was super fucking quick and everyone enjoyed the sites seen from way up above Ft.Lauderdale beach. Landing in Bimini we went through customs, which scared the hell out of my friend JR, who happened to have some pot taped to his leg. This kid cant go anywhere without having some sort of drug on him. We all got through fine and we all breathed a sigh of relief for JR's sake. We caught our ride to our island get away and dove right into the booze that awaited us. We pretty much did everything there is to do in Bimini. Walk around town, meet the locals, swim, jump off the old ship a mile or so from the coast line, eat the bimini bread and just booze for 2 days staight. It started right when we got up. Eat some breakfast and head into town for more jager and whatever else was on the list.
Tyler's dinner was one of the best parts though. Killing a bottle of Cuervo in under 10 mintues and toasting to our boy who turned 21. Smiles all around and not a sober person in sight. The thing with Bimini is that the liquor is super cheap but the beer is super expensive. Being a beer drinker myself this was sort of hard to cope with, but I adjusted and just kicked back a few black tooth grins, jager shots, and rum and cokes the whole trip. Not to mention a few Kalicks.
Well that was the short ass version, but hope it did some justice. I miss the island already and cant wait to return with my friends again.
Anyone else been to Bimini and want to share some stories?
Till next time,
Cheerz
