Finally I've given myself an avatar. Not sure if I'm happy with it yet but its sure better than leaving the default in place. Its a photo of my right hand taken by my left, under an led lamp, after I'd been fiddling with the settings in my camera. My hands aren't actually blue.

I've been visiting this site much more frequently in recent weeks and pretty much daily at the moment. What interests me most, other than the beautiful women, is the very active photography group. I'm going to learn how to use my camera with auto turned off, and then i'll participate in their weekly and monthly contests whenever I can.

I've ordered Bryan Peterson's Understanding Exposure which should arrive in a day or two, Amazon says it'll teach me how to take better pictures, and I hope it does, cos its all pot luck at the moment.

Give me a week or two and I'll hopefully do better than a blue hand, cos maybe thats a little creepy..

btw Conroy was the name of a character in the Bitmap Bros' game Speedball, an old favorite of mine.
