This week has been a rollercoaster ride...
1. Well my father went to get a health physical last week. He was supposed to get it done last year, but he procasted and ended up getting it done now. This is probably one of the first time's where procrastanation actually saved someone's life. So he ended up getting a full evaluation. They did a Cat scan and found a growth in his brain one, that might have been cancer. my dad is a fighter and you could tell that it was bothering him despite his acting otherwise. Well when the tests results came back we found out friday that it was only a polluck, benign. So that was a weight off of our sholders....well that was until today when they called to notify my dad that there was another growth in his abdomen and this one was a small tumor. The doctor said that they were lucky they found it in the early stages... Normally they do Evaluation every 3 years, so if he would've went last year, the cancer would've had 2 years to grow unchecked....
2.. They Shot Beckett..those bastards.
But I got two pretty good quotes from it...
1 "We speak for the dead, we are all they have when the wicked rob them of there voices."
2. "There is no Victory, there are only battles, and in the end the best you can hope for is to find a place to make your stand...and if you're very lucky you find someone willing to stand with you."
All-in-all there were some interesting season finales.
3 I really hate people who argue for the sake of arguing. They enjoy winning arguements so much that, they bring inrelevant facts and change the intial scope of the arguement to something else just so they can win. I've admitted to myself from a pretty young age that I don't have all the answers, no one does. It pisses me off when someone tries to browbeat me into there way of thinging when its evident that they are an expert on a subject and they knowledge is 2nd or 3rd hand at best. What started out as an arguement about where or not a deer should be able to advoid an eightteen-wheeler,turned into and arguement about where or not you could distingish the direct a sound is coming from when your eyes are closed, and then de-evolved into a arguement that I was fun of shit, because there is no way that i can know some off the things that I know, and how the person that I've argued with has done more things then I have in my life. *sigh*
It made me think about the reason why alot of us are drawn to Sg. It's that we each have our own stories, and that the majority of the mainstream population just doesn't get it. You can say you been in a fire before, you can describe the events, and try to describe the emotion..but unless someone has truly been in the same situation they can't understand. They can try to empathize, they can try to imagine but, your imagination is rarely up to the task. Until you've been in certain situations you just can't understand the emotions that went on in that persons mind at that time. You simply take what that person describes and view it thru the prism of your understanding and its not the same. We are all products of our enviroments to a certain extent, but on rare occasions, certain individuals can step beyond that to embrace different ideas. To me that's what it means to truly belong here.
4. So If even thing goes as planned I'll be relocating to the alabama area in October. To the Musle Shoals area to be precise. Wish me luck.
