WE GOT A PUPPY!!! She's the cutest thing ever, I am in love with this dog.
My mother stopped over my apt. yesterday and told me to come outside, that she had a surprise for me. I scolded her for surprising ANYBODY on HER day, but she explained it's, "For everybody, a family surprise". To my surprise this little tan four legged angel hopped out of my mom's car and raced over to me. You've never heard such a girly squeel in your life, I know somewhere out there there's a shattered glass with my name all over it.
They named her Scrappy, she's a Norfolk Terrier, we're thinking about five or six months old. Johnny, mom's boyfriend, found her under a car he was working on, filthy and scared. In the middle of Camden, NJ, I might add. He just couldn't leave her, and the minute my mother laid eyes on her it was LOVE.
She's such a chill little dog, potty trained and all. When it's time to go, she heads for the front door like a good puppy. Yes, there will be "proud mama" pics up of her very soon.
So I spent the day today with my baby sis and our new pup. We moved a few boxes into the new pad, cleaned our bathroom and put up our new shower curtain, started washing down all of the hardwood floors upstairs in "our territory", and sat and had lunch on our sun porch. It was a nice day, I really enjoyed myself.
This are (slowly) starting to come together.
BTW, Mother's Day was as expected, torturous and painful. I survived, though, and walked with $150 for the day. Thank god that shit's over.
