Packing is officially off and running. I drank two large iced lattes on Monday and flew through my apartment like a crackhead in need of a fix. Got some of the major stuff down off the walls, packed box after box of things I don't use on a daily basis, and began pulling stars off my den ceiling. Those lil fuckers are a pain in the ass, I'm glad I decided to paint them on the ceiling this time around.
So, ok, I need everybody's opinion....
I'm a glow in the dark fanatic, and like I've said before I'm planning on making the ceiling of my new bedroom the night sky. But I'm thinking I want to keep my bedroom more serene, I'm toying with the idea of skipping the glowy shit and just making the stars silver and gold and throwing a lil glitter in the main color of the ceiling for a stardust effect. Every home I've had in the last decade has had a glowing room of some sort, but I'm really starting to think my bedroom just isn't the right atmosphere for it. I might throw up a few blacklights in my computer room instead.
So, yeah, glowy bedroom or sparkly? I've got all dark wood furniture and dark hardwood floors, the Batik blue I'm using as a base for the ceiling is a medium dark, which would brighten the room better and be overall more relaxing and chill?
I'm leaning towards sparkly, something new to play with, a theme/look I've yet to tackle.
Next question, anybody wanna donate to the new home decor project since I'm broke? (kidding, kidding). I'm determined to put together some funds, I can't be surrounded by bland, I'll go nuts. Not that I don't already have plenty of crap to decorate with, but I need to change a few things here and there, tweak my style a bit.
Be forewarned, dear friends, anyone who lives in this area will be receiving a housewarming party invite once we've settled. Our backyard is ginormous so we'll prolly be BBQing, and we should have a trampoline w/ a wrestling ring put up by then. Girls on trampolines, anyone?
Yes, I am a 27 yr old child at heart.
I only wish I could have my trampoline set up by the time my sista avalonchase comes back to visit Jerz so we can wrastle and be goofy.
I've pretty much done all I can in the packing area til I can get some of the boxes outta my way. It's apparently still up in the air whether or not the place will be move in ready by this weekend. My aunt (the current owner of said house) is a master procrastinator (much like all the women in my family) and isn't nearly as far along as she's told us she'd be. We don't even have a refridgerator, yet. All my mother asked for was to have shit ready by Mother's day, she considers this place the best Mother's day gift she could ever receive. Aunt K needs a swift kick in the ass, we're all more than ready to start getting stuff into the house. C'mon already!!!
I'm happy ATM, but anticipation is making me crazy. Shit needs to get done, I need to start picking up more work shifts so I can be financially ready, loose ends need to start getting tied. I'm well on my way to an overall life upheaval.
Tonight, quick in and out 4 hour work shift. I'm working on the patio, which is quite nice, our outdoor uniform is much comfier, and the freah air makes the customers more pleasant. Then it's home, maybe peel off a few more ceiling stars, smokey smoke, and the first new disc of L Word season three. Good times, good times......

You could do the sparkly thing and maybe get some glow in the dark paint and splatter a little on the ceiling for a few glowy stars!
I'd love to see pictures when it's all finished
