God bless the snow, the sugary smell of winter
Sliding on university campus
Strolling through the holiday night lights
Remembering how to be a kid again
God damn the wind, the north's foul aggressions
Biting at your cheeks
Creeping up every seems
Reminding you of your fragility

this is my version of the fable recounted in We Look Like Giants by Death Cab for Cutie.. I might of said it before but Transatlanticism just may be my favorite album of 2004.
I spent my whole weekend with Marie-Pier. after every of our moments together i am filled with awe. i wonder if she knows of the effects she has on me.
saturday night we walked through downtown to see the christmas lights. her eyes lit up and she literally becomes a little child. she's in her own utopia. the lack of diversity in colours is the only negative thing she could think of holiday decorations. she's too cute for words to describe. on sunday i had my first snow fight on the ottawa university campus which then lead to the rideau canal. it was myself, marie-pier and two of her classmates studying here from France. it was fun teaching these students the art of a snowball fight. a concept completely new to them. they are used to cities shutting down to snow since they live in the southern part of their homeland.
my eyelids are teasing me with glimpses of potential dreams i could be having right now. in other words... I'm damn tired. good night

I hope you have an awesome holiday if I don't get to talk to you.
ottawa is pretty beautiful in the winter. i can't freakin wait until the canal's frozen. i never thought i'd say this but i kind of miss the snow right now. all hamilton has been getting is shitty slushy rain. stupid hamilton.
