So I decided to "warm-up" on the campus board the other day (dumbest thing I'd ever done), which caused me to experience an ever-so-slight amount of pain in my right hand on crimpy grips while I was climbing--pretty common, no big deal, I kept climbing. So then I'm bouldering a V2 and I throw for a 2-finger pocket and all of a sudden I was in much more pain than I thought reasonable, so I stopped. EMT mode kicked in and I made sure I had full range of motion, that there were no deformities, I had circulation, etc. and splinted my fingers in the position of comfort with some athletic tape. Today I took the tape off and palpated for abnormalities and my third annular pulley in my ring finger is really swollen, leading me to believe that it's partially ruptured. My middle finger doesn't seem to have any serious problems, though, which is good.
I guess I'll give it a week and then see what I can do about taping my gimp finger to another finger to take the stress off while it heals. Blaghagahahgaga.
