So this will probably be my last post from the 'nam, i guess my tour of duty is over. As of saturday night i will be resident in London once more.
It was inevitable really that i'd end up back there, it's the only place i've ever felt at home, i mean at home in the sense of outside of my flat. Growing up in the country was great, idyllic even, when i look back it all seems a bit 'famous five' but as a teenager it was rubbish. Living in London allowed me to do all the things i wanted to do, at the times i wanted to do them, it was so exciting to find this 24 hour society that had seemed like a dream before. As i've walked the streets here recently, i've thought about the peace, the space and the lack of people. These things i guess i'll miss, but hell there's plenty of time for all that later, gimme life, gimme fun, gimme love, gimme the world, thats what it's time for now!
So i have about a million things to pack and store somewhere, and to condense my vital things into one suitcase, a rucksack and a guitar case. I wish i didn't have so much stuff, i just want to burn it all and leave with a bag over my shoulder and a guitar under my arm (hopeless romantic? me?) But then this stuff is important, its my history and i want to keep it safe so it's all going to my dads...again!!
So wish me luck with the move, next time we speak i shall be happy and content and at peace at last!
