Another journal update after surviving another week at work, thankfully with several halfish days off .
Though not early enough to attend any of the 3 day showing of the SG Burlesque shows (well not without being able to change clothes, shower, trim and then head back out that is or maybe not even that, all I know is that they were playing for 3 days and havent found enough inside me to care what exact time they were performing at, except maybe as a diversion from the normal routine).
So all I have in my head is the "outroduction" from the Otto Von Bismark Project I must destroy humanity album, which to truly put in to vcontext is a song of extreme self parody, after a whole album of basically anti-humanistic babbling and screaming Otto sings:
This is thee end
of the greatest thing
that we'll ever know
and that we'll ever sing
and I really hope
that you enjoyed the show
and I want you to know
that I love you
someday down the road
we'll be toghether
in harmony
this is not the end
as long as we have each other
the show will always go on
goodnight and
godbless
I dont think he ment a single of the above words he sang.
I dont even think you can call this album "indie" music as if to suggest that their was actually some independence in this system we have created.
No this is aumeteur modern minimalist cynicalismopera at its finest.
The song of an american working class youth with no hope for the future.
Goodnight and godbless us
like he has blessed the Iraqis people
