Excuses and apologies were made, but the long and short of it is she got cold feet. That's what I think anyway.
Saw the Benster last Sunday, she's looking the same as when I last saw her. I don't worry about her anymore. I can't allow myself. I have to follow whatever path the Deja Vu's lead me kn next.
Its been 6 months or so since I've had a Deja Vu. It just occurred to me today. I don't know how I should feel about that, they have been around to both scare and comfort me. I assume they will return someday, and I'll just have to exist without them until they do.
After seeing the Benster, I moved onto another bar that she no longer works at, and happened upon another aquaintance. I know him as a gambler from the bar I had just left. There's a charity gambling device called the "tri-wheel" that works very similar to roulette, except there are 40 numbers to choose from instead of 36 plus one or two zeros (0 and 00). He would play 13 and 27 and whenever I would see him there he would walk out with several hundred dollars. Actually he would do a little better than break even; not including all of the drink rounds he would buy and table dances and the like. So basically he would come and re-distribute the charity's funds around the room and leave. Anyway, I still don't know his name. I didn't ask on Sunday either, only asking why he was at this bar in particular and not the other one. Turns out he's been to the Lamplighter in S Paul, and that bar has been under renovation. The dancers from that bar have been coming to this bar during the construction and he followed a couple over. Interesting guy. I should go to the Lamplighter some time, its been several years. Perhaps next week.
Update 9/24: I watched the Newsradio dvd's and ordered the Greatest American Hero seasons 2 and 3. They still have not arrived, so I started into the Simpson's seasons 2 through 6 instead. Aside from this, while playing games on the computer I have another computer playing dvd's to my left. On that. I watched seasons 1 to 3 of ALF and yesterday I bought He-Man season 2 volume 2 and have started watching that. Yeah, I'm a nerd.
