OK, through boredom laced with cabin fever, I have decided on the way forward.

This week, I are mainly being left-handed!

Having been stuck indoors this weekend to give my poor overworked endocrine system a rest, I got to reading a bunch of things from my ever-growing library of the esoteric (in between watching Matrix Revolutions and every single DVD extra). And I got to thinking how mechanical I've been feeling recently, and how much reading I've been doing. And then I thought, well, if your right hand side = left brain = male/yang/logic/order/speech/reading/anal retentive activity, then being a righty in a science job who reads a lot, must mean that half my brain is gathering dust!

Now, it seems to me that you can't pick up a paper these days without reading about how men are being outperformed by women in schools, the workplace, yada yada yada... this being because women can integrate both hemispheres better than men, and in the last few decades they've been given more chance to compete in more left-brained territory, where right brain skills give them the edge.

So rather than get binned by social evolution, I've started training myself to do everything left-handed! (Haven't even cut myself shaving yet!) After all, left hand side = right brain = female/yin/holism/emotional perception and expression/art and creativity. Sure enough, two days on, music sounds better and I'm having way more fun...

So come on chaps. Dust off your right hemispheres before we're replaced by test tubes and dildoes!
