So yesterday was pretty good. I spent some money, got a nice assortment of clothes. Although, something you need to know about me, is that I dont have what youd generally call taste so by nice assortment I mean a bunch of tacky stuff. But like good fashionable tacky stuff. Ask squishy, she was there.
Later that night a friend of mine took me out to Asylum. Ye olde local goth club. My friend was only going cause some friends of his, who are regulars there, are about to move. I was only going as favor for him. Neither my friend nor I are in that particular scene so we kinda stuck out, in the sea of black and/or leather. Actually this one dude had chain mail on. Anyway, we were there for about five minutes before this dude projectile vomits right there onto the floor. He even sprayed the guy who was standing next to me. In a way it really set the bar for the evening.
So, Im generally too shy to really mingle, I dont know how to dance, and I dont drink. It leaves me few options in this sort of scenario. I talked to the couple people I knew, but mostly stood around and listened to the music. Which wasnt too shabby. They played the new NIN single, some VNV, Covenant, Funker Vogt, even think I heard some Wumpscut. I can respect that play list.
Eventually this girl comes up and starts talking to me. Theres a little bit of a something there. We talk for a smidgen, and then she tells me she dances a lot better than she talks. She grabs me and pulls me onto the dance floor, and sets about trying to teach me how. So that was mildly terrifying. But on the other hand, close contact, touching, that sort of thing, all very nice.
After a couple more rounds of talking and dancing, we head across the street to the Grill. Some drunken guy puked there too. And there was a fight out front. Anywho, the short of it is I got her email address and my poor friend felt like a 5th wheel the whole night.
So whats the etiquette on emailing a girl?

She IMed me a little bit after I updated, making the whole when to email her thing moot. We hung out again, watched The Three Musketeers. Good times were had.
