The low point of my weekend:
In the city of Tucson exist many tasteful southwest style gardens. These gardens include low scrubby trees and gratuitous amounts of cactus. The large amount of cactus is of prime importance here. I was taking a stroll and came across a house with such a garden.
As I walked alongside it, I had to duck and dodge the low hanging branches of a tree. I dodged a branch only to brush my arm against something kind of prickly. I walked past the garden and into the light, my arm still hurt. I looked and saw two spiny seed pods attached to my arm. The spines were a good inch or so long and a good number of them had lodged themselves in my skin, the deepest about a fourth of the way in. I tried pulling out the pods with no success; the spines were too slick for me to get a good grip on. My attempts at removing the pods caused only further pain.
This happened about a mile and a half away from my house. I had to walk home with these pods sticking in my flesh. The pods bounced along with each step, twisting and wiggling the spines in my arm.
Melanie, if you are reading this, your mother is a goddamn saint.

Although it annoys me that I was right there with Ace on the whole Tobio thing- you can ask Seth.
