oh crap... today could have been better, but today was better than most of my recent days. ever have some sort of project that you've put a lot of time and work into... well, a couple months at least.. but there's one little thing that has to be done to finish it all up and you've no idea if the only way to do it will work.. and if it does not work you're left with a few rather useless peices of junk?
I had something like that going on with this stained glass and metal thing I've been working on... it's a cabinet window with copper sheets in places around the edges instead of glass.
I thought that trying to join the metal to the edge of the stained glass might cause problems.... solder might spread out too much and make a huge mess on my copper sheets.. copper sheets might take more heat to solder to than the glass can absorb without cracking... or it might just look like shit in general.
but every thing worked as fine as I'd imagined it could go if everything worked out just right... no problems at all... and my boss was impressed with it enough to ask how much I'd charge for picture frames with the same sort of ivy motif that I did on the copper sheets

cognomennull:
wow, I just noticed that the type of thing that happened today with this project is actually something I listed as one of the things that makes me happy... and I wasn't esposed to any of the things that make me sad.. and I got to play with the oxy/acetylene torch while I was doing the copper work for this project...
