I have decided to skip the visit to Chicago and go to Virginia instead for thanksgiving. A few facts about this trip for my concerned readers:
Time since last visit to my mom (by the time thanksgiving arrives): 14 months.
Last time in VA: 14 months ago.
First time visiting the 'family' property in VA.
First time visiting my step-nieces, step-nephews, step brother, and step sister.
Scared? you bet your sweet ass. Also, I will have no cell phone or computer for the week. (Nov 21 - 25) I look forward to freezing my ass in some rural mountain area and curling up with coffee, books, and family.
I think I might go hunting as well. My stepfather has guns and the property we hunt on he owns, so no licenses are required. Plus they got an ATV. I just have to remember to slow down when I talk... they are all country folk and it hurts their ears when I talk fast. Oh well.
It should be really fun. Or it will kill me. Either way; Good stories!
