The drive up here wasn't bad. I spent two days in LA for ICYPAA, got to see my friend Noah which was hella awesome. Noah is a Buddhist Teacher who travels around the world teaching meditation. He is probably one of the most gangster people I know, and I am so glad to have him in my life.
I left Saturday from Los Angeles and traveled to Suisun City... about an hour east of San Francisco. Yes, it is as boring as it sounds. I stayed with my friend, a girl I knew from high school. I left @ 9am on sunday and continued my trek up north to Portland.
I finally arrived in Portland sunday around 6pm. After some swift unpacking I met up with some people from ICYPAA and had a good time. We went to a strip club and I got home to an hour of sleep and then jumped on a plane back to SD. I signed some discharge paperwork, headed to the airport and barely made my flight. I went out again in Portland until about 4am.
I got woken up @ around 10am to phone calls of happy birthday's.... its been pretty good. Ironic: I haven't had a good birthday since I joined the military... now that I am out they are getting better. Sweet.
I don't know how I feel about anything right now... im in such a weird place. I just want to get a handle on things a bit better. I think I am going to start looking for work after I get done with my college crap today.... I cannot stand lounging around and doing nothing. It sucks though because I haven't gotten my DD214 so I have no paperwork certifying my military experience... sort of... I will make it happen.
Anywho, that's where I am at. I hope you all are doing good. Talk to you soon...

I hope your birthday was awesome, and that the ladies at the titty bar were good
I think the person I asked to be my date is gonna say no. That's okay, I'm secure in being the single, dateless bridesmaid...
You have no idea how proud of you I am-- you took a chance moving to Portland even when you weren't sure it was the right thing to do. I remember doing it when I moved here, and I have a lot of adoration for people who would take a chance and see what happens.
Like I said-- you're my hero!
