Spent way too much on graphic novels at the Comic Store today...got a mini-bookshelf full.
Lots to absorb. That also means I should get cooking on some comics - as in drawing them, that is!
Todays vices: Jack Kirby, Will Eisner, Moebius and believe it or not John Stanley Little Lulu...
The song titles for Historicals are starting to come...for me the title of a song is more than half the battle. The title sets the tone for the lyrics and points me in the direction of the kind of texture, structure and instrumentation.
Watched two episodes of HBO's Deadwood...it was pretty good...I'm sucked into yet another show!!

I went to the comic shop a few weeks ago and was surprised to find a new Concrete series starting and a Geoff Darrow book called "Shaolin Cowboy." The Darrow book has a panel that is 10 pages long and I love it to death--you turn the page and it just keeps going--you turn again and it just keeps going . . .
