I got an email yesterday from a movie director / editor who has done several things with David Lynch and was film editor of one of the Star Wars films.
I wrote an article for my web site a couple years ago about a certain professional wrestler who was active in the 1950s and 60s in Memphis and Georgia who was almost solely responsible for integrating the sport there. Apparently the guy who emailed me is interested in making a movie about this wrestler, so he's looking for me to set up a meeting.
In other news, the girlfriend is going to NYC over the weekend to see Depeche Mode. She also will be having dinner with them and has backstage passes. Such is the advantage of having a friend of a friend of the band.
