This is the eve of the last game that will ever be played in Yankee Stadium. I can understand why someone might not think that this is a big deal (especially if you are not a baseball fan or a Red Sox fan) but for me it is a pretty big deal.
Some how the Baseball Gods shined down on a short, relatively scrawny kid this week and I had the chance to go to the game tomorrow and be one of the last people to sit in one of the greatest places in the world. I declined this offer because there (in my eyes) was a better offer to watch the last game with my father. This is the person that is responsible for teaching me about the game of baseball as well as what it really means to be a Yankee fan. I think I may have passed up a huge chance to be apart of Baseball history and Yankee history, but what I passed it up for is going to be priceless to me.
