So I just had a great time hanging out with Mark Kozelek, who is such a great guy. It took a lot for me to blow off Booshanky's, which I know was fucking exquisite. But Mark was only in town for today.

I don't know if there are any 4AD fans out there, but his band Red House Painters was on that label for about ten years. They are truly one of my favorite bands ever. Cameron and I used to drive to the set of Jerry Maguire at six in the morning listening to Mark's music. So, it was no accident he became the bass player in Stillwater.

He put out a record on Sub Pop called Old Ramon a couple of years ago. It's a perfect record. Please check it out. Especially if you own a cat! He wrote a song about his cat that rips my heart out....

(I still wish I was drunkenly hanging onto FEJ's tasteful jacket as I rap with the succulent Indie. I hate it when too much love is in the air!!!!)

So, it's going on 3 am and I'm shaking my ass to Autechre and The Faint. That's GOTTA be a good day!! Right? Nobody's Gramdma dies and they end up drunk, shaking their ass? (No, not you throatneedle, you don't count) I'm sure today was very, very good...
