Ya know how "A Christmas Story" came out of nowhere to become almost everyones favorite holiday movie? I think that's great. Now that it's been out a few years, those characters have become more welcome in most people's homes than their own relatives. That is some powerful, powerful filmmaking.
So, where's the new, definitive Christmas song? Time will tell, but I submit that it is that thing on SNL where Horatio, Fallon, Kattan and Tracy Morgan all get up and sing that weirdly infectious new wavey thing. You know, Horatio is on lead vocals, shaking his ass and playing a lute. Jimmy plays a big Casio that Kattan holds while Kattan shakes his head back and forth. And what does Tracy do? Nothing. Yet the expression on his face is so priceless that without him, there is no song. Literally, there is no song.
Seriously, it's my favorite SNL thing ever because it's bizarre and yet really sweet at the same time. And that's how I would like to live my life.
