So I have been back at my parents for 2 and half months now. It's been good. The reason I moved back was to enable me to save for my trip to Europe and West Africa next summer. I hope to save up at least 10K for the trip. I think I can do it. I was able to transfer to the Home Depot up here in The Dalles. I hate retail, but the pay is good, and with no rent looming over my head I can save, save, save! I get along really well with my parents, so it is working out. I work a slightly wacky schedule, 8 days straight, then I get 4 days off, Saturday-Tuesday. Then I work 7 straight and have a Wednesday-Thursday off. I pretty much spend my days off in PDX. Living back home, in a small rural town, my social life is non exsistent. I have ran into a few old friends from the past, but really don't have much in common anymore. Oh well, it gives me time to write and plan my trip. In other news, I'll be in Brooklyn/NYC in October for 4 days visiting a good friend, and going to see Built To Spill, my favorite band ever. Should be a really good time, my friend will make sure of that. I hope I remember how to party like a rock star.
In the near future, I will be escaping the insane heat of the Gorge/Willamette valley down at the coast this weekend with my cousin and his 5 year old daughter. They are so much fun to hang with. I learn several new things from his daughter every time I visit. She is a cutie. My cousins parents will be "roughing" it in their RV, while we camp out in a tent. I am hoping that we will be able to go crabbing, Fresh crab cakes!! I love the Oregon coast. Well, I guess that is it for now. Take care, bye, bye, for now.
