GRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!! Said black bear being riden by a naked Martha Stewart on their way to Andy Rooney's house for homemade ice cream and sassparilla. Sorry that is an inside joke between me and a friend. I digress. Here it is 4 am yet again, and where am I? On the computer when I should be sleeping. The worst part is I am still on dial up. I was supposed to have a cable modem installed here at my temp. apartment in Tacoma last friday. They canceled on me because their installer was sick, so I rescheduled an appointment for tuesday my one day off this week. Well, as I was in the shower monday morning I heard the phone ringing. When I got out of the shower I went to check the answering machine, but I had forgot to unplug my modem from the jack and replug the machine in. I then headed out the door to work. What was on my door but a note saying AT&T had come and I missed my appointment. I quickly called the number on the note but got a message they were closed for the holiday. I tried a couple of other numbers until I got a live person, they were happy to set me up with a new appointment........next tuesday, fuck that I said and canceled it all together. I am only in Tacoma through the end of September, it just would not be worth it for 20 days. I'll just have to suffer with dial up until I get back to PDX. My internal clock is all f'ed up. I get tired a around 6pm or so, force myself to stay awake, then can't sleep until 4 in the morning, then getting up at 8 to get ready for work. When will this never ending cycle end? I hate having 1 day off. I was going to go into Seattle today for some real tourist action. To the top of the space needle, ride the monorail, and walk along the pier. Instead I got up at 10am, watched tv until 2, took a shower and went to get a haircut, I guess yesterday was the last day of summer vacation for the kids here in Tacoma. It took an hour just to get in the chair at Supercuts. The lady dumped water all over me while shampooing my hair, so I had to go home and change. Once home I knew I would not be going to Seattle. It was to late anyway, I would hate to fight traffic just to go sightseeing. Besides my friend will be up on tuesday and we plan on going to Seattle then anyway. Oh and I have tickets to see Doug Martsch lead singer of Built To Spill playing at the Showbox on friday night, Ugly Cassanova is supposed to play as well, the lead singer from modest mouse makes up Ugly Cassanova. It should be a good show. Doug's acoustic blues side project really kicks ass. I saw him at St. Johns pub a couple of months back. I got to meet him before the show, and he was kind enough to let me record the show. I am getting tired of Tacoma, I am not sure why but I just don't like it here. I miss Portland so much. Oh well, another month or so and I'll be back there. I have to go find a new car soon. I saw a 95' full size bronco I liked the other day. That might work. Gas mileage ,what's that? I'll go from 26 miles a gallon to 13 miles a gallon. I don't really care though. I just need more powerand more space than the Honda can give me. Well, I guess that about raps it up for me. I must now get my alocated 4 hours of sleep now. Peace out...............
