My house makes me do funny things. Weird things. Bad things.
In Portsmouth the other night there was this thing- a prom- the Big Kids' Prom. It's for folks who are old enough to drink. It's a prom. Use your imagination.
This year it had a zombie theme. So... I do myself up, find a junk tux in my closet (I have something like five tuxes including one tailcoat.... fun fun) and destroy it. Perfect. Look like this:

In this picture (with a friend of mine) you can't really see my shirt and jacket, which I did an amazing job on if I do say so myself. Anyway, long story short, I won. Prom king.
Zombie king.
Unfortunately, I had been drinking that night. Not too much, but it was enough.
Won Prom. Date left me at some point. Went home where there was some sort of party. Smashed large mirror with fist.
Freaked some people out.
Pissed off roommates.
Glass everywhere.
Well, so be it. The next day I went ice skating with my friend Rob and his friend. It was great. I've not been skating in years. Rental skates suck. They hurt my feet.
As I mentioned, I haven't been skating in a really long time, but it came back to me pretty well in the limited time I was out on the ice. I didn't fall. Not even once.
After skating we all piled into Rob's car. Now, Rob had told me that his friend had a place opening up in his apartment. I spoke to him about it and eventually checked the place out. It's really cool! The people that live there are really cool! It's only a little bit more than what I'm paying now in this depressing shit hole (affectionately known by my friend and me as "the dungeon") and it has a bedroom that is just as big as my current one plus it has its own, private living room/work room/whatever you want room.
So I'm moving. Feel better already. No more fits of rage.
No more. I hope.
I've been here in this house we affectionately know as "Chutney Flats" for two and a half years. It's been a good run. I've had a good time here... but I've had my fill.
I've just got to move on and try to escape the things here that are messing with me, of which there are considerable numbers.
So... December first, hopefully. Wish me luck.
