Day one in sunny Dana Point, CA. Got up at 5:30 to surf this morning thinking it would be small. Surprise! It was about 6 feet at times, very fast and extremely hollow. The water was so cold by the time I got out of the water I could no longer feel my fingers. I had to push the remote for the car locks with my nose because I couldn't get my fingers to work properly.

But I knew it would be a good day when a pod of dolphin popped up about 5 feet from me. What a cool feeling.

Tonight it's cocktail parties and a dinner at a schwanky hotel. It is so nice 2 b in warm sunshine.
