matthew dear set on friday was tepid. i just stood against the speaker stacks and tried to zone out. i found the best spot for maximum reverberation on the handle on the side of the bass bin. i put my knee on it. it reminded me of doing the same thing years ago only most components of the night were illegal. i'm so different now. sad thing is, not a lot of people are. which is boring. i did my whole rave thing when i was 15, i hardly need to flog the dead horse. i went home and got a full night sleep with good food and a jack on the rocks in my tummy.
it was a fairly tame weekend, sorry to disappoint. however, i did buy two rugs, which i am really excited about...and i've almost beat eternal darkness.
bens tour manager is a fucking idiot and, as expected, even messed up the first show in london. he's in good hands with fellow idm superstars tho, so as long as he's fed and comes back in one piece i suppose i'll remain sane. 23 days is a long time to go, though.

i miss the midwest party scene . . . the most intense musical experiences i've ever had were there. Ritchie Hawtin in Louisville, Jeff Mills in Ontario, Clark Warner, John Acquaviva. there's a great music scene out here, but i think the underground nature of the midwest made for more immediate experiences. the only thing that can compare out here are illegal undergrounds thrown by thirty year old ex-ravers who just can't let the vibe go . . . . thankfully

Hey, I can't blame you for being excited about the purchase of a couple of new carpets. Often times, what may seem unexciting to most, may be very exciting to one's self. And regardless of what people may think, be excited about it. Man, I'm lame...
