As I rushed out of my office Friday evening to hurry home for a long awaited weekend, in my haste I left my keys and cell phone in my desk draw. By the time I realized this and headed back to the building, everyone was gone. The building was locked shut and no sign of anyone milling around at ten minutes after six to help me out. Any numbers I had for others at work were in my cell phone, so I could not call anyone who lived close by with keys to open the door.
I ended up taking the train home, which was not that bad. As I rode in silence, interupted by the chatter of other commuters, I pondered how I would gain access to my home.
I had locked all the doors and windows. Not a single person could gain access to my house, maybe not even myself as I thought as I lurked around the perimeter thinking about how I could get in.
I had thought, maybe I could push a ladder next to the side of the house and climb through a window upstairs. I had decided to not attempt this as the ladder was too short. I could have made it on the roof, but if I could not get through the window I would be stuck for sure with no way to get down
After I had put away the ladder, I noticed a weird opening on the sliding glasss door on the first level. It looked like the molding was coming off, but it was actually open. The door was not fully closed, with only half of it being locked, upon prying the second half I gained access to the house.
In I went, and as I was congradulating myself on a job well done, I had one more hurtle to over come.
The deadbolt lock at the top of the stairs. The key to it safe in my desk draw at work, and the other one on the other side of the door.
What do you think I did?
I kicked that freakin door in all B.A Baracus style. You do know who that is right,.......fool? Dont make me pity you
then the dream wore off...
"Yeah that would have been cool if actually had a deadbolted door at the top of the stairs to kick in."
Monday Morning:
I shut my alarm and got ready for work. Funny thing is everytime I fall asleep listening to Art Bell I have a weird dream, but seems real enough, and whats more I remember it.
here are the questions.....(drum roll)
2- What is your current happy place song
3-Yellow or white american cheese?
4-Play-Doh or modeling clay?
5-butter cold or room temperature?
6-last cartoon you watched?
7-have you ever kicked in a door or something of the sorts if
you locked yourself out of your abode?
'tis all FIN

of course.
I haven't seen slapshot but everyone who knows I play hockey has told me to watch it. I should put it on my list of old releases to get.
I can't wait to start playing hockey again. Do you think the DMV will mind if we use their parking lot on the weekend? It's smooooth.
