Ever notice how you can put on a cd that you haven't listened to for like a year or two... but as soon as that first note from the first song hits... you're automatically just taken back on a flashback in your mind, to the time where you last listened to that cd?
I had that experience tonight. It was weird, but very cool. I hadn't listened to Nine Inch Nails in quite some time... and then while we were getting very drunk at a friends house, someone put it on.
It was weird... cause I just stopped what I was doing, and let my mind take me back to the good ol' days. It was fantastic.. and it made me want to put on a bunch of my old cd's when I got home. Maybe just cause I'm nostalgic when drunk, but maybe otherwise.
But this, is just another reason why music is the best thing that was ever invented, and will continue to be so for all time... and nothing even comes close to it. I'd honestly say not even sex... I really would. Weird, no?

But. It's still not the best thing ever invented, imo.
I do recall, though, several times I've been with friends and listening to music that I hadn't listened to in a decade and been amazed that I still knew all the words. I mean, we'd listen to music for eight hours and we'd know the words to all of the songs. Very strange.
They were cool stairs, though a bit freaky. I mean, why were they there? I guess questions like that are beside the point.
Also, NIN rules. The 'pretty hate machine' album always brings me back... unfortunately, the album is pretty depressing. But I love it so much that I bought it on vinyl. Heh.. funny how that works.
