People judge, shit happens. I sometimes find myself guilty of this too, we're human after all. Long story short, I can't count the number of times people were assuming stuff about me that were far from the truth (and I think I'm not the only one).
So these are the top things I heard that really makes me smile:
- "She's so self-confident" : obviously, this is not true at all. I have to say I improved because I'm working on it, but hell no. I'm so much of a perfectionist I'm driving myself insane sometimes.
- "She's mean" : I love BDSM, and I love role playing and pretending I'm the most villain dominatrix on earth. Sometimes I play agressive. But on the inside I'm a nice girl, really.
- "She's so ripped" : this is not totally false, but I have to admit I naturally have visible abs. That's my nature. But the main reason, even if I workout quite often, is because my current weight is not the most healthy I could get. I don't have enough body fat for my body, contrary to popular belief, and that's why I don't get my periods anymore. To sum up : my abs are visible because there's not much "fat" to disguise it. Period.
- "She's self-absorbed" : trying to improve oneself through personal development doesn't mean I don't think about the people I care about.
- "She's unapproachable" : as long as you have more to say that my boobs are awesome, I can find time to chat with you.
I guess that's it ! It's not the end of the world, and I don't have the time to explain these things to those who judge me obviously : in the end, it's not what strangers think about me that matter but how I see myself and what those I care about think.
