Karaoke tonight - who's coming.
At Etta's Place, my personal version of Cheers, they have a really spectacular Tuesday karaoke crowd... and mostly because it is full of black singers. They have the richest, most variegated voices.. and I'm slowly gaining acceptance with this new crowd, even though I've been going there longer than most of them. Really, all it takes is a little soul - but it's amazing how many people lack one.

The coffee tastes especially good this morning. My bed is looking like a big, warm cuddle buddy right now.. coaxing me in with its cute smile. Good thing it doesn't have big strong arms.. otherwise, I'd be in trouble.. and late for class.
