When it comes to dark, irreverent and down right bizarre humour, British comedy shows have got it in the bag.
I might be being a little judgemental, but any US comedies/sitcoms I've ever watched have never really brought anything new to the table. I guess that's why the US snapped up the likes of The office and such.
So why is it I have this uncanny ability to miss out or overlook these British comedies when they're new and fresh? It usually takes someone else to introduce me to them before I realise what I've been missing out on.
The last few months I've come across, Nighty Night, The Inbetweeners, Alan Partridge and a bunch of others. I've got enough comedy DVDs to keep me going to the end of the year!! If you haven't seen Nighty Night, I can't recommend it enough. It's one of those shows you laugh at manically but at the same time think, "that is so wrong!". Check it out if you get the chance.
